The Galápagos Island chain are a province in the republic of Ecuador and are settled in the middle of the Pacific aproximately 605 mls (1,000 km) westbound of the north tip of South America. The Archipelago arised out of the floor of the ocean in the shape of astounding lava flow explosions. All together, the Enchanted islands is made up of nineteen major islets and a number of islets and ocean formations that are spread over a large national park of 17,000 square mls (45,000 square km) of oceanic territory. Owing to a non existance of resident predators, animals in the Galápagos hold no concern of people, constituting the Galapagos amongst the planet's biggest marvels and an quite magic location to travel to.
